  • Waited a whole stinkin’ year to have another bottle. I should have waited the two I recommended. This was great, though.

Decanted for 4 hours. The tannins are more resolved, but I’d like them even more so. Those walnuts and berries are there still, too. Just a little bit more time. Perhaps the year that I freaking recommended to myself? See you in 2025, next bottle!

  • As expected, this wine is young. But still drinking nicely, just nowhere near its true potential yet. This wine is big and full-bodied, with polished tannins that need some air time to allow you to really enjoy it.

Notes of nuts, smoke, dark fruit, and spices.

This wine has real potential and is something I will add to my collection for future consumption. The critics got this wine right. This will be something truly remarkable in the future.

A tad too young to give a true score yet.

  • Not rating this as too young—maybe 2 years from now I will? Immediately after opening and decanting, the nose is straight up candied walnuts and tart berries. Rather alluring. 1 hr mark, same, with baked plum. Palate has some fruit but tannins are waaayyyyy grippy. 4 hr mark, this is drinkable and even good, but it’s still too young. The tannins are still super grippy, and the fruit, nuttiness and hint of mint are not given a chance. This is gonna be GREAT one day. I’m so glad I have other bottles. It’s a keeper, friends—for down the road.

  • A matter of taste 2023 - Day 1 (The Dolder Grand, Zurich): *** Brief notes from wine fair, primarily for my own memory ***
    Glass: Stölzle Universal
Drunk right after the Saffredi it felt simple and one dimensional.Certainly a good and serious wine, but not very complex. 89-90

  • Decanted 2 hours. A nice wine. Obviously still too young (as expected). Nevertheless, already a good wine. A lot of friut and good freshness. It will certainly be even better in 5 years. 92 pts. at the moment.

  • decanted twice around 6 hours ago. Beautiful nose of creme de cassis, snicker doodles (cinnamon cookies), blackberry liqueur, cranberry, new French oak and something wonderful I'm having difficulty putting my finger on. Med-full bodied and dense. Quite tannic, but they are of fine quality. This was excellent with duck confit, but is a bit too tannic to enjoy on its own right now. That said, this has all the makings of a blockbuster, this is seamless at the edges and just glides across the palate until the tannin clamps down a bit. In a few years, this will be a beauty! Given past examples, this will probably be a fantastic young beauty in as little as 2-3 years, but I'd give it until age 7-8 and enjoy for many years after that (will likely reach age 20 in fine shape)! Drink 2026-2034++ 95+

  • This is good.

    This is damn good.

I've had the last god knows how many vintages and I can safely say this is the best yet.

Beautiful purity of fruit. Boysenberry, blueberry, black cherry are on center stage. Great freshness, a seamless integration of varietals, and a focused drive carry it through. Mouth puckering, with ultra fine tannins and great finesse. Kudos Signora Tua 🙏

A Blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
