Beautiful aromas. Sweet dark fruits, smoke, pepper, meats, florals and some tar. Palate is just lagging a bit but with time it will be few points better. Juicy and ends dry with chewy tannins.

Three hour decant. Inky dark. Black cherry on the nose. Blackberries, black pepper, spices. Medium/full bodied with more lift than previous vintages. Layered with integrated tannins and a long finish. Paired well with meatloaf.

A true showcase of where Paso should be. 100% Syrah, this is balanced and full at the same glorious time. Blueberry, cured meat, salumi, lilacs, smokey peat and anise. Layered and a stunning finish prevails. There’s strength and vibrancy as well. Savory and full in body. I love the lift and lightness,’and the staying power at the same time. Truly dimensional. A tour de force in all things Syrah. Microfiber tannins. Drink 2025 - 2037.

Soo much going on. Almost a sin to drink it this early, but even still it had structure to make your tongue stand at attention while being forward with dark fruits, loam, walnut, and a sanguine minerality. This is one that you have to do a double take on at this point in its age.

Purchased at Safeway in Sedona. Needed some backup to the bottles we traveled with.
The wifey killed most of this while I was hiking but what I did have was lovely. No formal notes.
2019 offers such great wine out of Paso.

Three Tastings and a Meal in Paso Robles; 8/11/2022-8/13/2022 (Paso Robles, California): Just as deep as the Vertigo. Much woodier aromas. Sweet and slightly smoky. Full bodied and very ripe but not hot, chocolaty tannins on the finish. More polished feel and less complex than the Vertigo. All power, no finesse.
