This has aged beautifully. Red fruit with orange rind, sandalwood, and spices. Just lovely, with perfect balance. This could easily go for another decade.

A beautiful pinot that is a bit straightforward with powerful cinnamon spices but feminine enough that fig and dark red fruits show through. I also notice a hint of tea that acts as a very appealing secondary layer.
Very impressive, though a bit bigger than I had expected.

Aromatically beautiful with notes of lilac, tar, underbrush and red berry fruit; light bodied and quite restrained on the palate; it gives the impression that it's holding a lot back, and not very forthcoming. Hold until 2012, at least.
A little more transparent in color compared to the other Windy Oaks bottlings. Love the cherry and spice elements on the nose mixed with a touch of pine. Balance is impeccable from start to finish with great fruit, good acidity and very fine tannins. I was expecting this to show a lot of oak considering that it is aged for over 2 years in 100% new oak but that was not the case. Yes, there is some oak influence on the finish but it is well managed. I found this to be the most elegant and Burgundian of the Windy Oaks offerings and it reminds me of a tasty Bonnes Mares I had last year. Should age very well and be at it's prime in perhaps 5-8 more years. 94-96.

Drinking great now, good fruit and acid, nice finish. Tasted next to Dumol RR 2004 which had a tired wine feel.

My system (nose mouth finish) ///, lots of oak on the nose and in the mouth, chocolate, cinnamon, maybe with more time the fruit will show more.

Pleasant fruity nose. Robust raspberry and fruit flavors with a hint of spice. Very smooth. Best Pinot I have had.
