Clear pale garnet; clean medium nose of red cherries, leather and tomato leaf; dry; high acidity; high tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of tar and soil; long finish; still a baby with little development - do not drink for another 5 years; score reflects current condition and has lots of opportunity to improve

Noticeably modern with its density, ripeness and dark color. A little muted even with several hours open. Cherry, plum, anise, and wood. Tannic but pleasurable and well made. Hold this for at least 5 years.

Aroma of ripe cherries, licorice, tar, roses and some oak. The oak has faded day two. Full-bodied- with excellent acidity and firm tannins. Concentrated and with a great structure. Lingering finish
A baby now, great potential. 92 (94)

Consumed over 7 hours out of bottle. Even in its youth the structure and precision is there. Taught cherry, dried herbs, crushed rock and gravel with hints of dried rose, citrus rind. Well evolve over the next decade.

A fantastic wine from Poderi Aldo Conterno, Barolo Bussia 2017, decanted for 3 hours. Complex, layer upon layer, red cherries, cranberries and traces of grapefruit. Roses, asphalt and a fantastic salty licorice. Integrated oak and a long finish, delicate. Of all the Barolo 2017 that I have tried, this was the most elegant and complex, will end up at 95 - 96 p after another 5 - 10 years in the cellar.

Off bottle. Lots of basement must and a burnt plastic note. No clue what happened here.

A little bit stiff. But tiny pour in a huge glass.
