Usually I give Decoy high marks. However this Cab was just okay. Not sure I'll be buying again. Which is kind of sad. Drinkable is about all I can say. I'm being generous by giving it 87.

This was a solid cab, and was solid for 3 nights straight. Cassis and vanilla dominate. I continue to find the 2011 CA cabs to be better than expected.

True story: I brought a bottle of this to a party at an astronaut's house tonight. I was embarrassed that it might not be "uppity" enough, but the selection at local stores (I'm in Houston for work) left a lot to be desired and this is always a solid choice soooo....imagine my surprise when I arrive at the party and everyone else is bringing fucking Barefoot and Bogle. You better believe I poured myself a couple big heaping glasses of this ASAP....and shockingly, out of the ~15 bottles on the counter, this was the first to empty. Moral of the story: for a $24 Cab, you can't go wrong.

I had this at the Duckhorn webcast tasting with Total Wine on November 8, 2014. Not over powering but nicely crafted. Very elegant. Pairs well with meats.

Nose of blackberries, black pepper, plum, and leather. The tannins are robust and the finish is long.

Young and not offensive but a tad too generic.

Dry yet fruitish. Tart in the middle with light tannins on the finish. Full bodied and relatively complex.

A bit rustic, burnt cherry. I might have called this merlot blind. Not a fan.
We drank it quick, so air, time might help.

Mostly used in the stew. Had the leftover (a little less than one glass) 2 days later. Nice wine for the price.

Decent table wine, nicely balanced, not a big cabernet but great for everyday drinking, full of cherry, short finish. Good QPV for under $19.

Another good showing from Decoy. Hints of vanilla and dark red fruit on the palate. One of my favorite everyday Cabernets.

I was not a fan of this bottle. It may have been that we drank it too early. I would not be a repurchaser of this one. $23.99.
