Peu complexe cependant. Finale de longueur moyenne...asséchante. Meilleur après 60 minutes d'air. Boire d'ici 2026 ou plus.

Floral nose of rose petals, used Venturi aerator to serve after opening. This wine needs some air, and it wasn’t a school night I would pour into a decanter and enjoy with my meal, with dessert, and some sips after. Grippy tannins and up front dryness at first, but rounds out mid way through ending with a short and dry finish. The fruit seems like it wants to come out and play, but is Healdsburg back by herbaceous notes and earth. A little bit of pomegranate eeks through. Had the same bottle a little more than a year ago, and found it better then, however, I feel a little more time would benefit this bottle, and maybe mellow out the tannins a bit. Paired with a gyro dinner.

Very nice wine, especially for the price. Benefits from a little time to open. Dark cherry, earthiness and a bit of tobacco. Medium + body. Will buy again.

Very good wine for the money. Initially the cherry just jumps out at you. It's quite nice. The finish is medium and that dark cheery hangs in there until the end. A little hot to begin with but mellows out with a little air. A solid 89 and will probably go higher with a little more age.

Deep brick red. Decanted for 2 hours. Super intense and inviting nose of cherry, tobacco and smoke. Flavor profile matches nose and adds herbaceous mint and lingering vanilla smoke. BUY MORE!

Sweet black cherry, clove, vanilla bean. Medium bodied with firm tannin and oak dominant palate. It feels still very tight. After about an hour in the decanter, the juicy dark fruit comes out strong, maintaining a solid structure.

Great nose and fruit up front. Sour cherries and pomegranate come to mind when sipping, along with some pink peppercorns. Dry and medium finish. Paired with a middle eastern lentil dish and was delightful. Great wine for the price, and I think a little age will do this wine good.

Retail $20. 90% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha Tinta and Graciano. I am doing a tasting at the end of the month and I was looking for a handful of wines from various spots around the world that were: a) relatively inexpensive, b) readily available, and c) did not taste like, well, garbage. Check, check, and check^5. While I do not drink a ton of Rioja, I have tasted some very nice iterations and some that were, well, regrettable. This is decidedly the former. Dark fruit on the nose and the palate, a touch of anise, black pepper, and clove, in a quintessential Old World way. Good fruit, fantastic acidity, plenty of verve and very nicely balanced. Really good, certainly a contender to make the final cut.
Nose is emphasised by overwhelming oak. It balances out after a while, still quite clear note. Palate is lush and tannins soft. Beauty comes with aftertaste; structure is extremely delicate. Maybe not the most complex one but holds itself nicely and stays balanced. Pair with creamy sauces or roasted hearty meals.

Boring and not interesting. Somewhat thin and weak for rioja. Mrs. M. says soapy.

Immediate earthy, fruit taste. I bit of sharp taste that last long. Dark in colour and medium texture.
Not the best Roja but pleasant to the pallet.

Just a brief impression but this is an excellent, classic Rioja that represents superb value for money at around €13.
