  • Fruit day - lemon core out to a wide watery edge. Nose of Pineapple, apple, white flowers and fresh oregano - but quite subdued. Palate shows crisp acidity with green apple, canned pineapple and fresh lemon juice. There’s no oiliness but there is a quiet richness on the back end. There’s little in the way of oxidation except for a touch of bruised apple on the very back end of the finish. Remarkably youthful - I’d probably say it was an exceptionally good Italian Pinot Grigio of 2015 vintage if I was tasting it blind. I have another bottle so will try it in another year and see where it is re: development. 89 points for the flavour profile plus two for it’s extended ability to develop. First time I’ve added points for anything but this one seems to deserve it. Later: as it warms in the glass, it is starting to show more richness and the bruised apple is more apparent.

  • Beautiful golden colour. Notes of honey, butter and minerals on the nose. Nice acidity with apple, lime and buttery flavours. Well done.
