Almost absurd value for the price of $8 at Costco.
Clearly Bordeaux, clearly left bank. You couldn't pick it out as a Margaux, but you *almost* could, and that is phenomenal at the price. For 8 dollars I'm thankful if I can get the country right.
Fantastically drinkable, though obviously not particularly complex. Plenty of oak, but somehow the French always know how to control it. Now is a really good time to be drinking this. Controlling for price I'd give this a 97.

STRUCTURED, solid wine deep mineral rock and light soil but no meadow or green. Tobacco and a little bit a leather covered fruit of cherries and ripe black current undertones. Excellent finish with medium length tannins.

Great QPR from Costco. Good nose with subtle stone, minerals, earth and red fruit. Great in the mouth, round yet balanced with tannins and goes down well. Worth buying more at the price.

Nose: mild mixed berries; simple. Palate: a bit thin and fruit-forward with quite a bit of oak exerting its presence; I find the oak to be unintegrated giving the wine an unbalanced almost grainy taste; with its rounded tannins an moderate acid, it kind of reminds me of of a cheap Washington red blend.
