  • 92+ Nose of dark fruit. Plumb and slight chocolate on the palate. Pop n poured yet still a pleasure to drink now. Smooth yet the tannins are there for future aging.

  • Decanted for 2 hours. Floral aromas (violets) and a combination of black fruit and forest floor with a touch of oak. Medium to full bodied with grippy tannins and a mineral -laced finish. Needs some time in the cellar .

  • A wine that is nicely crafted however, like many of the 2018 vintage class, it needs cellar time, probably more extensive than most. Fantastic rich crimson purple color, and nice nose. Dark berry fruits on the palate particularly dark, tart cherries that need more time to assimilate. There’s dark berry extraction and the stuffing is there time is needed for proper resolution. This is not a bad one, but I would score it 90+, maybe 91 points right now and l expect it to show much better further down the road. BTW: I gave this one about four hours of air and it still showed tight and inhibited. The wine maker recommends if cellared correctly this Cabernet should drink well until 2033.

UPDATE: The wine after about 3+ days in the bottle started to show some life, it actually show better. This wine seems to be built to to cellar and I expect it will pick up traction. 91+/92 Points.
