  • Too soon but nevertheless a beauty. Focus in the dark fruit with the spice garden in the background. Vanilla, coffee, plum, cherries, cinnamon, massive.
Very much a lot of everything but not over extracted.

  • (decanted mid-day and returned to the bottle until dinner)

Absolutely knockout nose of creme de cassis, blackberry liqueur, vanilla, toasted oak and fresh cut wild flowers. The nose and palate are quite dominated by wood, but it is the sweetest, best integrated wood one can imagine. The palate is like a scoop of vanilla ice cream, topped with blackberry preserves served in a toasted oak bowl! This is medium-full bodied, extraordinarily well balanced and with good quality tannins and fresh acidity. This has very present fruit without being heavy or sweet. My first experience with this wine and it won't be my last! 93
