  • Definitely in its prime! Aromas of baking spices, cinnamon, plum, dark berries. Medium-full bodied with round supple tannins. Flavors of cherry, dark berries, and plum on the palate. Wish I could find more than the one!

  • This one surprised me with how complex it was right after popping. Decanting and waiting for a few hours showed it was not going to fade. I love mountain fruit and stonestreet is always underrated in my opinion. Firm but fine tannins guide the complex mineral and stone laden blackfruited flavors. Balanced and delicious. Three bottles left. Will drink another by xmas and hold off on the other two.

This a nice full bodied, rich flavored merlot, A clean fruity nose, a tart sweet fruit sliding into a smooth tannin finish. This merlot is well worth its price. 93, well rounded nice merlot.

  • There's a slight tart fruit as well as ripe raspberry/strawberry on the nose. Slightly mineral with a hint of licorice on the nose as well. Has a nice aroma after first pour. Would definitely settle in nicely with decanting. It's got a classic merlot tannin with some spice, cocoa, and berry on the palate. Slightly back of the palate and a long finish. Not a very big merlot and could go well with a number of dishes without overpowering. But also, I bought this bottle for half-price and it was listed at $30. This wine is fine at $15, but I've had more impressive wines for $30 - so look for it when it's on a sale. I would also recommend decanting this wine for a bit to let it get a little more complexity. Maybe wait on this wine if you can.

  • aroma of dark cherry and blackberry; slight note of mint/alcohol. Flavor starts of berries, turns peppery with a medium, but long, tannic finish. Mouthfeel is average being niether overly thick nor watery. Overall a very nice, but not spectacular, wine.
