Deep ruby. High intensity, acid, and tannin (dusty and clingy). Nose of leather, oregano, cassis and hubba-bubba. Palate was stewed plum and blackberry. Reminiscent of young Barolo. Excellent wine.

Concentrated showing dark cherry, licorice and tobacco. Medium bodied, mouth watering acidity and a finish with forest tree notes. Tannins are well integrated. A solid offering. NI:4, FI:22, FC:8, B:3, L:4

Good, nice balance of fruit and earthy notes. Big and bold. On balance think opened a little too early. Was still very tannic even on day 2. Wait a while until the next.

Medium ruby in the glass. Pronounced red fruit aromas or cranberry, strawberry and raspberry. Medium in body. Long fruit finish with grippy tannins and good acidity.

Solid aglianico from Mastroberardino! Shiny, red ruby pomegranate and translucent in the glass. Nose displays fresh red cherries en masse, tobacco, herbs, earth, rose petals. Palate is medium+-bodied, quite austere- grippy tannic structure, m+ acidity, thorougly enjoyable and great mouthfeel - aired in bottle for two hours. Long, tannic-dry and powerful finish. Keep for now.

pleasant enough, but lacking in the mid palate, reminiscent of a generic chianti

Out of the case of bottles, 2 were bad and 2 were borderline. The other 8 where incredible.

Initially tight. Opened up nicely with time. Serious structure and focus.

I'd buy again for $30, not $57
