Bought several bottles for $10 and this made it an great everyday drinker. Haven't drank many ARG Cabs, but this is a good start. Should have bought the store out of the $10 bottles.

Open 6 hours: Black licorice, crushed cherries, hints of oak on the nose in a strange combination. Nice body on the mouthfeel, black cherry, black currant, hints of dark chocolate meets oak with decent balance. Strong drying acidity. Can't feel any tannins present. Strong heat on the short finish. Overall a straight forward Cabernet. The wife rated this 82, I will go a touch higher and give it 84. The acid combined with the heat just isn't my thing.

Popped and Poured. Color: imprenetrantly dark. Nose: Some type of red or purple berry that is lush and delicious with some powdered sugary candy. Flavor: Very dry. Overall a subtle, balanced approach. A little candy sweet with a really familiar cabernet flavor that's not leather but reminds me of leather. A tad hot in the throat.

Deep ruby with violet tinge. Opulent nose of good quality oak with coconut, charcoal smoke, white pepper and some alcohol. On the palate this is medium to full bodied with flavors of bitter chocolate and a touch of cassis, fine tannins. Not for the oak-phobic.

Mocha Mocha and Mocha, that's the note it resonated to me. Solid Quality New World Cab @ affordable Price. It evolved in the decanter that night for 2 hrs, but started losing aroma and body. Good everyday wine but not for the long haul.

We took to kristens for easter and we didn't really get a chance to put a lot of thought into it. Dark purple color. Nice nose. Black fruits. Ann's comments: very little tannins; she liked it at first but not so much after it opened up.

OOOOh, the aromatics on this one are rockin!! Sweet vanilla, cedar, and cassis with a hint of eucalyptus. I had my nose in the glass for a few minutes before even caring what it tasted like. The palate is definite new world cab with black fruits, cherry, aggressive American oak with plenty of toast, vanilla, and spice. Tannins are in check and the acidity is very well balanced. This is a great wine and an even better value.

Specialty Samples: What a gorgeous nose. Others started commenting on this wine, and I realized I'd just been smelling it. On the palate, this wine offers rich dark fruit, full of rasberries and blackberries. Soft tannins finish this wine off. Really an amazing effort for a wine that is less then $20. This is a by the case buy. 89-91

I compared this against a $15 domestic cab that my father-in-law opened, and the Pascual Toso blew it away. Dark cherry color, dark, forward fruit flavors with richness. Better than a daily quaffer. Well made.
