Aromatics of lemonessence and spearmint leaping from the glass with a slight touch of butterscotch. Golden straw color. Flavor profile of lemon, minerals with a minty essence. This was paired with Turkey meatballs and Sunday gravy with fresh infused Rosemary from the garden.

Light to Medium yellow color, gorgeous nose of tropical fruit, spice and some flint. Very aromatic and in a really good place right now. Lively mouthfeel with a good dose of citrus, mouth coating and pliant with an outstanding texture, and some lemon rind elements on the finish to add lift. This worked really well with a scallops dish, (but I would have loved to be eating lobster!) Grand cru on all fronts, just a special Batard that lives up to the vineyards reputation and transcends the vintage.

A very soft buttery style. Lovely wine but not quite what I look for in a PYCM grand cru. Shows the vintage signature more heavily now than 2 years ago

For my palate, this is in its sweet spot right now, showing good structure and still fresh, though the last glass showed a tiny fade. A great way to kick off a special night, and a great way (i.e. the company) to revisit a BM now that it's ten years on. recommended
Slow-O 2 hours, served non-blind.

Pale golden color with a tinge of green. Great texture viscous but light. Tropical fruit, lemon and honeysuckle flowers on a vibrant nose. Lemon zest and toasted almond on palate. Long long finish. Nearly perfect at 10 years. Highest recommendation

Really enjoyed the nose on this wine. Herbs jumped out of the glass, slightly weedy, cat pee also lemon curd and an underlying floral component. Coche like on the nose. Big fruit on the palate with nice use of oak. Great length and acidity. Long finish.
SS 92+pts.

Charity Auction Dinner with Ancient French Rarities--1924 to 1979 (RN 74, San Francisco): A young wine to kick off quite a line up. Medium yellow. Marvelous nose-lactic, herbal and floral. Medium weight and creamy with excellent acidity, bright citrus fruit, excellent length and judicious oak. True Grand Cru with time in hand-quite an accomplishment for the vintage in terms of its classic underlying structure.
