Seems to be very lightly extracted: color is not very deep, and tannins are barely present. However, there is still weight and roundness, which is a bit jarring. Flavors are not particularly strong or complex, perhaps owing to the light extraction; some red/blue fruit, some pine, a bit sweet. There is a lingering bitter finish, perhaps reduction, less prominent on day 2.

Super light for an GSM. Oak, dark stone fruit, and something that’s not quite graphite.
Smooth at the front, tannins on the back of the palate at the end (other persons note- unless you do the slurpy aeration thing, then the tannins are gone).
Served with beefalo sirloin (garlic, oregano, lemon) and pumpkin soup (ginger, cumin, paprika). Not a great pairing across the board, but not the worst.
Based on other comments, I’ll leave a little in the bottle and see how it opens.
Day 2: it’s heartier than day 1, closer in weight to a typical GSM. Flavor notes are much the same, perhaps more tart.
A fine bottle, I’d use it similar to a Grenache. With meat that isn't pepper crusted or heavily sauced. Might be perfect for a surf&turf.

Became wonderful...after 4 days. Kitchen counter experiment consumed over four days. Initially very light and fruity, but each day this wine displayed more intense flavors. Pale ruby color with excellent clarity. Aromas of strawberry and rose hips. Flavors of red cherry, raspberry, and fig with a medium finish. This blend of 30% Grenache, 50% Syrah, and 20% Mourvèdre is from Mesa Verde & Portico Vineyards in Santa Barbara County.

Fairly clear and light. Different from most GSMs I’ve had. Almost tastes like a slightly bitter Anderson Valley Pinot. Decent value at $18.
