Very delicious wine. The semillon really shows on this wine. The tropical and citrus fruits went to together nicely. And the honey effect along with a little candle wax make for an interesting and food friendly wine.

Next to last bottle of a 6 pack purchased late summer, the wine is beginning to lose some of that gorgeous bouquet and the soft aromatics that were so captivating in the first few months after release. Still enjoyable and a good value, even if it is not one to keep for more than a year or so. Drink up.

Tasted at Chateau Lagrange, and contrasted with 2005. The 06 was the better -- more floral, more fragrant, limpid and wonderful feel -- delicious, ripe and balanced. And much better off for the blending of the 3 grapes 60% SB, 30% Semillon, 10% Muscadelle, perhaps not as common in BDX whites as the SB-Semillon blends.. Will be a buyer when it comes to my region. The '05 by contrast, while nice and flavorful, had a more Sauvignon Blanc-dominated profile whereas the 06 coaxed more from the Semillon and Muscadelle to balance the sharper edges. A wine deserving of broader and deeper distribution in my opinion. And very good QPR.

Hints of oxidation, with a centralized vanilla bean palate. Kind of strange.

Great with Thai food -- lemon grass chicken picked up some of the green notes on this medium bodied Bordeaux.

Veru nice rich and yet easy drink. Had wihtout food, leading into a home cooked Asian meal. Plenty of interest on the palate but not too heavy.
