Lightweight, acidic and a bit thin, with a dusty/musty character that's far too typical of inexpensive European table wine. There's a modicum of red raspberry and plum fruit, but there's such little depth it fades quickly. No obvious taints, but I'll try a second bottle and give it another chance. Thus far, not recommended.

Nose a bit closed…some fresh blue fruit, slightly floral and a hint of vanilla. More explosive on the palate with delicious blueberries, raspberries and fresh herbs, finishes strong with med tannins and med acidity. Really solid fruit forward wine with excellent balance and a well integrated oak treatment. The 14% alcohol is not noticeable as the wine is fresh and finishes clean not jammy or hot at all. I am going to continue to buy a bottle or two every vintage.

Ruby-red in the glass, appealing aroma of raspberry, plum, and a bit of loam. Ample, intense flavors, raspberry, plum, spice, and oaky tannin. Definitely a food wine, although the tannin smooths out as it's decanted. Big wine, but harmoniously balanced. Long finish. A great sidestep from big cabernets.

Wonderful nose of dark cherry, black licorice and a definite spice/pepper component that lightened up as the wine aired out. light to medium body but intergrated well and light on the tannins. good finish with some hints of vanilla and the fruit lingering nicely. I love the flavors of this wine on the finish and how they complement each other. A steal in the $10-$12 range

Deep purple maroon in color. Raspberry custard nose with french toast, cranberry, mint, and something I can't quite place. Lush in tone with firm tannins, med acid and a large mouth feel. Cherry, anise, allspice, plums and cassias. Really a fun wine with a rich straight forward texture and body. 4/5

Deep, clear garnet red with an intense violet, chokecherry, hawthorn with slight undertones of exotic spice. The aroma feels silky on the nose. Fantastic wine. The satin tannins and medium acidity create a round, lush mouthfeel. Slightly jammy on the plate with integrated red fruit, cigar and floral flavors. I highly recommend this wine! It's a crazy and fun combination of both artesanal and sophisticated sensations.

Light red, low in tannins, some fruit taste but not very complex. Not for cabernet drinkers.

Similar to earlier notes; perhaps a bit more vanilla on the nose and oak in the mouth.
