  • Starts out with a rather tart announcement of its black cherry profile. Letting it breath, the tartness subsides and the wine integrates with a lovely forest floor nose and dark fruit flavor. The wine never loses that black cherry, though, as it just leaps on your tongue and sits fat and flavorful. Finish is a little lacking, as this fatness is the apogee of the wine and it kind of fades out as the final notes just slip away, unremarkable. Delicious but not subtle.
