Typical Chablis nose, pear and lemon, saline and minerals. Sweet taste, creamy, crisp, citrus, stone and minerals. Only drawback is the very short finish.

Wonderful contrast after a not very satisfying savennieres previously. Crisp for sure but reasonably round with nice fruit, complemented Sue's halibut perfectly

Round and creamy; became more Chablis-like with time and air, showing calcaire, citrus, and a bit more cut. I prefer the '04's and '07's to the '05's and '06's.

lime yellow color, seabreeze, lime, salt on the nose. still not quite developed yet, and can sense a bit of the tank and oak treatment in the wine. good balance between alcohol, acidity, fruit, not nearly as much depth or intensity as a grand cru, minerally and floral on the palate. medium to light bodied, a bit of spice hints, fresh and light on its feet. a decent drinking wine, don't think it has the intensity to truly accompany any dishes for me. but makes for a reasonable sipping wine.

2000 Janasse VV and Pegau: Very pale straw yellow, this started out a bit warm, but as the wine cooled down and took on some air, it sharpened up into a 1er Cru quality driink as the citrus and mineral-dominant gained some urgency and breadth and the gradually expanding nose showed white flower and sea brine aromas with time in the glass. My first experience with this particular 1er Cru, this seems to be a touch less rustic than the Fevre Vaillons and better structured than the typical Fevre Montmains, so it is worth following.

Wood Tavern Dinner w Stephen Gelber (Wood Tavern Oakland, CA): SG cracked this wine that he just picked up from Premier Cru. This was very good and Traci went back to it a couple of times - and I loved it as well. Slightly creamy but still laser crisp, with apple, citrus, and minerality in spades. Could have used some additional air time and we may pick some of these up! Sit on those others for a couple of years Gelber.

Subtle nose, med+ acidity, minerality. A simple but good Chablis.

Solid Chablis with everything you would expect - acidity, minerals, sea notes - went well with steamed clams and lobster

Super pleasant. This would be a great, warm up lunch wine on a sunny day.

Nose needs to be coaxed out of the glass. Still fresh but very light bodied and delicate. Was expecting more.

A lovely wine, and better on night #2, I think. Fresh, sea-breezey. Nice length, slightly subdued nose. Still seems reticent, and not quite ready.
Try next in 2012.

Very nice wine. Crisp but just enough fruit. Excellent accompaniment to appetizers and to salmon the following evening
