  • Late night at home with J. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart and Grassl Cru. Much better in the Grassl.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purple colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of light brambles, purple berries, dark plum, concentrated cherries. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of cinnamon spice, peppery spices, smoky coffeebean, juicy dark red plums, boysenberries, very sweet concentrated cherries, minerality. Long juicy finish.
Very good quality. Nice material. But a bit too sweet and raw unintegrated at this point for my taste appreciation. Probably better in a few years.

  • My 2nd bottle. Would have thought it was premature to open, but both have been excellent. Open red fruit. Hard to imagine this could drink better in the future, but have a few more to follow.
