  • Tasted after a one hour decant, but required aeration at that point.
Dark ruby in colour with lovely aromas of sweet black fruit, chocolate/tobacco & dried flowers.
On the palate, full bodied, intense & tart black fruit, blackberry/cassis/black cherry, tobacco/chocolate, cedar, floral/herbal note, high acidity, high slightly angular tannins with a long finish to black pepper & earthy minerality.
This young, lively wine with great cellar potential!
Still terrific aromas & flavour on day#4! Almost some red fruit showing thru too, sour red cherry?
