Two successive and succulent bottles. 45-60 minutes initial decant. Pronounced nose of dark red fruits and black liquorice and dried herbs. Nice complexity on the palate with depth of fruit and savoury layers - liquorice, black olive, cedar and dried sage. Refreshing finish with a cleansing zingy acidity. Concentrated yet light on its feet. Went well with simple penne pasta of roasted garlic, diced mixed olives, sundried tomatoes, thinly sliced chilies, Parmigiana Reggiano and olive oil along with fresh baked focaccia. Bravissimo!

Following My other Napa tastings at Wine Paris I used Coravin on that one
91/93
Appart from a little oaky character the wine has improved a lot IMO since I last tasted 2015 vintage.
Loads of black and ripe fruits, big, vanilla and toffee, but not overwhelming, with charcoal undertone, and a bit of forrest floor, cassis and pencil shavings...
Palate is vibrantly fresh, long, extremely fruity, dense and high alcohol well integrated as well as the oak here, with a lengthy acidic (in a good way) aftertaste... very long wine ... might really height a 93/95 ... It is so far the best Pine Ridge I ever had !
Bravo

interesting, delightful nose with hint of aged hay. Very earthy nose.
Bold, silky and fruity mouth feel. Pairs beautifully with Brie cheese.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle.
