Good nose of red fruit and spice upfront. This is a nice smokey and dense Pinot. The taste profile is good. Along with the red fruit, I pick up tobacco, forest floor and a nice mineral element. The structure is pretty firm and balanced and the finish is excellent…

Jammy, cherry and sweet spice nose. Fruity, warming, sweet-centred palate with angular acidity that fails to provide appropriate balance on the finish. 3/5

All the usual trappings of a nice RRV Pinot. Cherry, Cola, vanilla, ripe fruit, a bit of smoke and even herb garden. Very nice acidity, med+ finish, med body. A little light on the tannins requiring soft foods. A bit cloying on its own. Peking duck with plum sauce was perfect pairing.

A solid pinot - dark fruits with cola spice pop out of the glass on opening. Chocolate, licorice and menthol emerge with air and add intrigue to the juicy dark fruits. Tannins are soft and gentle on the tongue out of the bottle, making for an easy drinking experience.
Unfortunately for me, my journey was cut short as the table had finished the bottle before I got a second sip. I personally would decant this for an hour or two, but it is fine as a PnP if you enjoy bold barrel influences.

This was a gift and never made it into the cellar. As a result when a different guest wanted a red, I pulled this as it was the handiest and best bottle available from the kitchen larder. Pop and pour; no formal notes and from memory. Lush, ripe fruit with some jagged edges which began to soften with air. If I had another bottle I would decant 20-30 minutes. Showing a touch of heat and ended with a juicy wet/dry finish. Good to Very Good.

Liked a great deal. Certainly not typical for a Pinot, wife even said it didn’t taste like most of our other Pinots. Smooth with lots of fruit, not very acidic. Probably will reserve this for weekdays and not so much for when visitors are here .

Ruby/purple color. (Quite dark for a Pinot Noir) Beautiful dark berry aromas with hints of spices, salami and roasted herbs. Bold on the pallet with bright blackberry/dark cherry fruit with additional notes of baking spices and earth. Great length and balance. Powerful! Tasted this one blind with friends and they could not believe that this was a Pinot Noir. Outstanding!

Bright, ripe and extra-ripe, rich red fruit. Lively, low-voltage zinginess, possibly from partial carbonic maceration or the inherent medium-plus acid. Softer texture, but with gentle gripiness and medium / M(-) tannic structure.

Drank at a restaurant in Southern California. Wine G puts it well: so much of a fruit bomb that this is a Cab lovers pinot and most definitely not for purists. Loads of dark raspberry, chocolate covered cherries, and bramble fruit. If tasted blind I never would have guessed pinot noir. This was quite well balanced though.

Very much New world and quite rich and robust cherries and spices. On the palate nice textures, long finish. Plenty of cut to keep balance, but Definitely the cab lover's pinot. Not a light offering

Well balanced for a Young Vintage, we had to decanted since at the begining was very strong, notes of black fruit, great legs and aroma

Dark ruby
Cherry, oak, tree bark on the nose
On the palate sour cherry grapefruit, lemongrass
Really nice complexity for a pinot noir.
I liked this and would recommend it
