One of the Sardinia benchmarks, this is in the sweet spot for drinking now, matured but yet with delicious fruit profile, dark fruits, dried figs, spices mixed with tertiary aromas, convincing finish, it stealed the show that night, easily likable.

very dark red; nose not too intense, some almond; very broad on the palate, good fruit with long finish; great pleasure, on its peak now; did decant for one hour

Italians, 2nd Labels of 1st Growths, 95 Prum, +; 10/5/2014-10/6/2014 (Our favorite Italian Place): Pop and pour. This is a blend of Bovale Sardo, Carrignane and Grenache from Sardinia. Yes, they have other names for the grapes. Quite good and seems to be at peak. Black raspberries, raspberries, charred wood and spice on the nose. Light tannins. Lots of complexity. Long finish. Really delicious and food friendly.

Popped and poured, great pairing with pizza. Nicely balanced, cherry, spice, and tannin. Karen liked it.
So I pumped it down and put it in the wine fridge overnight.
On day 2 the fruit has come forward - the tannin has receded completely, very satisfying medium bodied wine. The evolution overnight altered, and to some palates - especially those that like a fruity wine - more time has improved the wine. If you have the time, proper decanting should greatly improve the experience of this wine.

Black wine with dark rose at the edges, inpenetrable in the evening light. Strong, distracting alcohol on the nose with rose petals the dominant scent with some red fruits. Noted of dark chocolate and rose petals with raspberries.

Decanted for 2 hours. It has very dark colour...almost black. This is really gorgeous and complex on the nose with ripe prunes, caramel, prominent earthy scents, hints of vanila and very shy cedar. On the palate, this is full bodied, dense, mouthcoating with good acidity and medium-long aftertaste. It still has room for improvements. Actually, I think that 3 or 4 additional years would make this wine even more interesting as its tannins still need to settle down. If you don't want to wait, no problem.....this wine is excellent just the way it is today! Totally recommended!

dark red; nose not very intense; acids quite dominant on the palate; one hour after decanting some fruit is showing up; does - at least for the time being - not meet the memories of previous vintages; unsure about future potential

Dark brick colour. Musty nose with leather, aromatic herbs and as it opened up notes of capers(!). Great, texture with firm tannins. Really complex and interesting palate with raspberrys, red and dark fruit, vanilla, leather and tobacco. Wonderful!

Decanted for 2 hours. Not as good as the bottle I opened in 2011. I think it's starting to decline. Drink it immediately.

Big red - fruit bomb. Inky blackness. Yummy but not super complex.

dark red; slight nose of red berries; somewhat restrained on the palate, little fruit, rather light body; an ok wine but lacks complexity

very tannic. would have benefitted from maybe 2 more years of cellaring. a little meaty with fairly heavy initial alcohol on the nose
