Bright, fresh, sappy fruit, good acidity and medium structure/body, not a lot of complexity as far as I could tell tonight, missing some of the more earthy/spicy Chianti notes.

Complex on the nose with clear Sangiovese giveaways. Shows a beautiful structure and complexity. Way too young for its potential. Drinking window likely around 2027-28.
Nose: smoke, wet cellar floor, warm herbs, red cherry, blackberry, tobacco, wet leather, red forrest berries, bacon
more earthy less fruity style. nose of tomatos. taste red fruit and roses, earth like tomatos, pretty tannic for chianti. a lot less oak flavors than the riserva. nice wine.

had it twice lately, first on a fair late January, I gave it a 90+ for the wine was more opened and got better thanks to temperature.
Here it is a bit cool...
Nose of M Intensity, with cherry, amaretto, red plum, dried herbs, sage, dry thyme, dried tomato, dried tomato leaf, smoke, tar, ...
Palates is Dry, M alcohol, M+ Body, M+ Acidity, M Tannins with grippy chalky texture, with salty salivating feel, M+IOA of cranberries, cherry, red plum, dried tomatoes, thyme, sage, ... M+ Finish with more alcohol feel here and a certain power.
It is a VG/outstanding wine, with complex aromas, of primary, secondary and little tertiary character, the old oak brings the Nebbiolo style of balsamic and dried tomatoes, leafy edge... It is long and savory , the acidity and the tannins makes it very suitable for aging and the overall structure will benefit of further time in the bottle.

Served as part of Rose's pizza class. Lots of ripe berries with a surprising amount of tannic structure. Has the capacity to pair with heavier foods than tonites pizza, or even pasta bolognese. Solid value

90% sangiovese, 10% a mix of canaiolo, colorino (& possibly other varieties). Ageing in big barrels.
Pretty pale ruby colour. Good mix of red fruit with some volatile acidity to give som grit to the niceties. The wine goes to different places on palate, the tannins and acidity almost acts in waves, rising and fading. Ends on a creamy feel.
