  • With ample love for varietal petit Verdot and past vintages of this particular wine, the 2018 seems to be still be quite immature and muted. Solid potential but still far too early for it even after two hours of decanting.

Color is a gorgeous opaque indigo. Closed, but pretty nose showing vestiges of brambly blackberry, lavender and pencil shavings. Some rather herbaceous, green oak notes as well. Palate shows unruly, dense, green tannins — to be expected from the grape but still somewhat unbalanced and jarring here.

Needs another 2-3 years at a minimum.
