Just fine, enough to it with pleasant blend of lemon, citrus, light stone fruit, hints of melon, balanced. Not finding any issue with acidity others mention, though I am inclined to enjoy a bit of edge there.

Pale yellow straw in the glass. On the nose notes of white flowers are dominant with a hint of melon fruit. On the pallet, it is rich in concentrated grape also with notes of grapefruit and white rose petals. The acidity begins to dominate the finish which is moderate in length. I would say without food there isn't a great appeal to this wine it is high in acid and lacks a great body to balance it.

Impulse Purchase @ Costco 12.5% abv - $15 Varietal: Cortese Barrel shaped bottle. As Flickwines notes, bottle is amber tinted.
Served @10c/50f with Baked Salmon.
Having tried 'Gavi di Gavi' at my favorite Italian Restaurant, I was happy to find it at Costco.
Pale Yellow in the glass. Citrus and Lemon Blossoms on the nose. Initial taste seems deceptively bland on the palate, but fragrance and flavors become more prominent as the temperature warms to 55-60f. Tart acidity and nuances of pear, peach, and green apple come through in mid-palate, along with some salinity, finally ending in a nice tart, lingering finish.

Really nice. Meyer lemon and honey dew on the palate. Acidity is not as sharp as most Sauvignon Blancs for example. There’s a roundness that is very inviting. Will buy more and find other producers as well.

Very pleasant and varietally correct wine. Very light yellow color. Nose and palate show some lightly herbal qualities along with almond, lemon pith, lime perhaps a hint of dried apricot on the finish. Good acidity. Enjoyable both alone and with food. Better as it warmed from refrigerator temperature to slightly below room temperature.

A counterpoint to the sour Sauvignon Blancs . Bright, medium+ body. Solid length. Jived with simply grilled flounder with caper-butter sauce and barely roasted asparagus. Held up to a spicier chutney too. Nice!

Another Costco QPR gem. Paired with a pesto pasta and some grissini.
Bright, bubbly, minerality and acid with a light tartness and crisp citrus. This is a great wine for dishes with some fattiness in them as it cuts through that but is not overpowering. I could see this holding up to a white or rose cream sauce as well.
I would buy more to have around for mid-week pairings and simple nights.

Excited to try popular Gavi, from the Cortese grape in N Italy. Clear pale lemon. The bottle is deceiving! The bottle glass is actually golden, not the wine! Nose: white flowers, crisp green apple, pear, ripe peach & melon, fresh fennel. Palate: refreshing med acidity, med body, tartness, fresh fennel, zesty lemon, lime, tart green apple, slight frizzante. Nose is more ripe fruit than the palate. Interesting how the texture lingers, a bit creamy? . For a simple wine, it has complex flavors - I'm confused in a good way. Great value.

pale color. Simple, aromas of green apples and pear. Light body, refreshing high acidity with the same fruity flavors as in the nose. Pleasant simple good wine.

Nose - clean, youthful, fresh, morning dew, medium intensity, fresh cut grass, citrus and apple secondary
Palate - powerful on palate, intensity is bam. Acidity is medium plus, body medium, some frizzante. Sour. Some sweet apple fruit. Like a ripe sour apple. Floral. Balanced. Finish is medium plus. Feels balanced.
A nice seafood wine. Paired well with sautéed scallops. Refreshing a light but with a powerful taste. Can’t comment on aging potential but drinking fine now.

From a 375ml bottle. Lime on the nose. Medium bodied, dry, crisp and refreshing, showing nice lime flavors with a slightly oily texture and firm acidity. Very good.

This is a new one for me- the Cortese grape from Italy. This bottle is deceivingly tinted making me think I was going to pour a deep yellow wine. Instead I found it to be pale gold with aromas of green pear, chamomile, lemon zest, lime and lanolin. The palate is dry with a full body that coats my mouth with a waxy lemon/lime component, green pear, spice and floral notes. The finish is medium length and the waxy mouthfeel hangs on for a while. Having never had this varietal it is difficult to rate but I thoroughly enjoyed the textural aspect of this wine and the fruit flavors were delicious. 90 points for this really yummy wine that I paired with grilled Jerk chicken. Bought for $14, it gets 5 stars. Try it this summer with seafood or white meats.

I little lacking in acid, complexity and flavor. Thought is would have been better based on the reviews. Nothing to dislike, just hard to get behind.

A riper, fuller example that exceeds expectations and price point, while retaining typicity. Citrus, floral, and orchard fruit from pear to peach.

Fruit Day - Classic Gavi nose of citrus, white flowers and mineral. Palate the same and, while simple, it was a great pre-dinner on the deck sipper.

Gavi di Gavi. This seems to be the most prestigious white wine of Piedmont. But I would vote instead for Roero arneis or timorasso.
This particular wine presents Gavi well. Gavi’s greatest virtue is it is inoffensive. It has pleasant citrus, honeydew, and almond notes.
