  • Very subtle and elegant on the nose, blueberry, light floral and rosemary aromas, and even some cedar notes. It reminds me Pauillac to certain extent. On the palate it seems to be slightly less complex compared to the smell, but still decently presents the North Rhone characteristics.

  • The Saint Joseph Le Grand Pompée 2020 from Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné is an exceptional wine with a complex bouquet that is sure to delight any wine enthusiast. On the nose, the wine presents a rich aroma of red fruit, including notes of cassis and framboise. The bouquet is further enhanced by a subtle hint of white pepper, adding an extra layer of complexity to the wine.

On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied, with intense but fine tannins that provide structure and balance. The red fruit notes continue to shine through, with the cassis and framboise flavors leading the way. The wine finishes with a long and satisfying finish, leaving a pleasant aftertaste that lingers on the palate.

Overall, the Saint Joseph Le Grand Pompée 2020 is an outstanding wine that is sure to impress. While it is delicious now, it is also a wine that will age beautifully over the next 5-10 years, allowing the flavors and aromas to develop and deepen even further.
