very nice with robust med to dark red fruit, hints of spice, all tannin resolved, med acidity (still 'there' for its age, which is nice)... just a nice bottle of wine but not 'blow your sox off'... I like this bottling generally

Earthy and sweet on the nose which is rich with the perfumes of black tea, very refined and fragrant oak and a spiced wild berry jam. Rather rich up front then thinning through the palate and gaining good focus on the long elegant and finessed finale. There’s some expression cream note parrying the red fruit notes on the finish with some tannin still in evidence. More impressive on the very fragrant nose than the palate but this is certainly well balanced and a pleasure to drink if slightly rustic and coarse. I don't think this will get better. The fruit is lovely but it’s barely matching up to the tannins which seem to be of a durable nature. Lots of glycerine. Not enough to be offensive but it lends some gloss to the palate without being sticky licorice on the finish

Dinner at Scaramouche. Deep red colour, almost opaque. Dark red cherry, raspberry and earthy notes. On palate the fruit is pure and sweet with good middle palate. Very fine ripe tannin just make an appearance at the back end of a moderate finish. The purity of the fruit comes through again on the finish. Ready to drink - will not get any better; it does not need to.

Ruby core with a garnet rim. Nose has red cherries, cherry stone and florality but there’s a pronounced earthy, field mushroom and forest floor aromas coming through too. Elegant, soft and utterly beguiling.

Very slow and viscous legs here. I had Coravined this bottle probably two years ago, and there were no signs of oxidation whatsoever. The nose is quite open right off the bat. Dark cherries, chocolate and a hint of cola on the nose; the oak influence is pretty obvious. On the palate this is still quite well balanced and overall performing much better than my last bottle tasted in 2011 - very dark flavor profile, structurally very alive and kicking with good acidity and tannins on the finish, really long aftertaste reminiscent a bit of blood oranges. The mid-palate just has been robbed of some... beauty? Expressiveness of fruit? But I may open my last bottle of this with some Boeuf Bourguignon once the weather chills up some more.

I don't know why this wine always surprises me -- I had a backup handy in case it sucked, but no need. It defines smooth, no hard edges, no difficult notes. Cherries, a little mentholyptus, some tarry notes. Brilliant color, not super complex or overwhelming, but pretty and sweet, like the girl next door. I will say after an hour or so open the tinge of amber was beginning to show herself. Drink it now or plan to cook with it in a few years is my guess...

Drank at Blanco beach house. Dark ruby color, no bricking detectable. Nose exhibits dark cherry nuances. Medium bodied, a lot of red and black cherry fruit, still fairly tannic with good acidity. A bit on the brooding side. Not your typical cheery bottle of sweet red cherries...

Drinking fantastic. Brick red in color. A beautiful balance of fruit and terrier. Juicy currant and cherry with a little graphite on the back end. Very elegant with a nice, long finish.

Didn't reach the same heights as previous bottles . No physical signs of deterioration but lacked the depth and length of prior tasting - perhaps just the vagaries of Burgundy

Quite dark ruby, no sign of age. Aromas are powerful black and red cherry and some floral notes too. The palate is quite full for a Pinot, lots of red and black cherry fruit, some sourness, nice tannins and good acidity. Drinking beautifully now and seems to have more life in it. One bottle left so will keep for a couple more years to see what the last one gives.

On the eye the wine is translucent with a slightly black core and reddish brown rim. The wine projects aromas in layers showing cherries, raspberries, blackberries, licorice followed by wet earth, crushed river stones, cloves, and black pepper. Sweet red fruit flavors upon entry boasting maraschino cherries, raspberries, strawberries leading to blackberries and anise flavors on the mid-palate. The finish is long dominated by blackberries, spices, iodine, fresh acidity, and muscular tannins. A mid bodied wine with silky texture which hides its muscles, not your traditional Nuits St. Georges, however it has great sweet fruit, a long finish, although it lacks more concentration on the mid-palate.

Not quite the heights of the last tasting in October - perhaps served too cold as it was a chilly restaurann in Central Hong Kong - but still a wonderful wine . Dark red with rich dark berries and good balance - just a bit shorter on the finish than when last tasted .

Lots of oak. Dark, ripe, sweet on the nose. So much oak also on the palate that tasted blind it would be pretty hard to tell where this wine is from (or if it's from quality terroir or not). Oh well.

Decanted for 1.5 hours, very dark saturated color, little to no sediment. Darker fruit nose than expected with hints of blackberry and dry black cherries. Mix of red and black raspberry on the palate with a balanced acidity and faded tannins. There are some subtle secondary flavors of cardamom and cinnamon.

Dark ruby red. Nose is not very appealing, mushroom, vegetal, hints of red fruit. On the palate it's light, flirty red berries and cherry notes opens up in the glass. Good but nose is somewhat off putting.

Decanted for 2 hours.Very fruit forward and floral nose.On the palate full with very bright red toned fruit and tart lingonberry without showing any signs of aging.I did not find any secondarys/tertiarys.Perhaps a small hint of oak but the fruit is definitely dominating the palate. Not quite typical burgundy style, more new world I would say. This may disappoint true burgundy freaks.I don´t know really if I liked this or not, though I can´t say its a bad bottle. But I would have prefered more the burgundian style.

Tasted at Richard's Umbria house Ruby, clear, transparent, youthful. Nose: minty with a little VA, coffee and nuts, clean earth, minerality. Palate: extremely flavourful, intense, long complex, moderate acidity, moderate alcohol sensation (but declared as 14%), smooth and mellow tannins, everything in balance.
