  • Tasting at Château Dauzac. Bold fruit, tight tannins. Touch of mineral, cassis, light spice, stewed tomato character. Elegant wine with good balance. Early drinking style.

  • Very light, feels more like cab franc and merlot rather than cab sauv and merlot. A bit tok tannic for how thin the body is but overall has nice structure. Typical fruit profile and hints of cedar. Not my favorite but I don't hate it. I think there are better wines out there for the price.

  • More Haut-Médoc like than Margaux. Concentrated and powerful. Purple and black berry notes dominate. A little edgy at the back. Three to five years in bottle will serve it well.

  • Coravin access. Tasted alongside the 2019 Domaine de Saint-Guirons, a textbook Pauillac.

Fresh, distinctively Left Bank Bordeaux, shading to Haut-Médoc. Quite fruity, though not heavily extracted, yet decidedly over-oaked. Serious acid, medium minus tannins, including oak-imparted. This needs a few years to show its best. Drink by 2028-2030. 89-90.

  • This is a 65/35 Cab/Merlot blend. In the glass it presents a bright purple red colour, and the nose is equally vibrant. Lots of ripe blackcurrant and cassis fruit and a touch of oak... overall quite fresh. Fairly fleshy and ripe on the palate as well. This is drinking well now as a young wine and should easily cellar to the mid-term but I doubt it has the structure for long-term aging. Valuewise it feels OK around €22.
