Strong vegetal nose, even stronger vegetable notes on the palate. Definitely way too young though nice balance and great structure with red fruit evident but needs time

Bright ruby red. Initial nose had a lot of tobacco notes, eventually settled to just black cherry with a touch of vanilla. Fruity black cherry flavors, not overly complex. Loses some steam on the palate, but still a good wine.

Fruit aroma up front, moderate acidity, light tannins, a little oak but not overwhelming. It was a big hit at a dinner party with a Greek chicken and vegetables sheet pan dinner. Like other Ravines wines, this is better with food, and it makes food better.

FLX; 9/18/2022-9/26/2022: Blackberry liqueur and tons of dry oak and sawdust on the nose. Palate has a simple red-black cherry profile with more dry oak, then even more dry oak on the finish.

Tasted at a trade event in NJ. Mix of mostly reddish fruit, lots of earth, slightly “green” with a nice licorice finish. Very young and restrained, not giving up much. Could be rather good but I found it very hard to assess as it probably needed a lot more air at this point in its evolution. Could be better with time, but having not had this before in ideal conditions I really had a hard time making a definitive judgement…90?

Aromas of black raspberry ice cream, new leather, hint of black pepper, roasted jalapeño, cocoa. Flavors of red plum, black cherry, sweet tobacco, charred pepper. Med plus acid, med minus tannin, very well integrated. Medium body, pale purple color. Great offering from the fabulous 2020 vintage from the FLX region

Great color. The nose shows aromas of raspberry, flowers, oak spices, herbs and minerals. This is medium bodied on the palate with excellent concentration and very good class. The medium plus length finish features moderate tannins and good freshness. Excellent balance.

Wow: way too young! Strong CF characteristics for sure. Big, bright red color; big tannins and green pepper leaping out of the glass. Likely to be great in a few years but hard to enjoy now.

Very moreish. Surprising how much body it had compared with other Finger Lakes Cab Francs. Nose of milk chocolate, stewed berries, crushed insects and white pepper. Big mouth of redcurrants, mint and fruit leather. Good acid on medium length finish with blueberries, longans and sherbet.
