Black Raspberry, blueberry, coffee, tobacco and Rutherford earthiness on the palate. Full bodied with smooth, silky tannins. Nicely blanced and punches above its weight.

Upon opening, very fruity aroma. Nose of black fruits, like blackberry but also some red cherry. Little notes of tobacco or leather. More earthy on the palate than I expected based on the aroma. First sip was a bit tight. Needs to breathe. Would initially give a 90. Full body, well balanced, grippy tannin, still has a few years to lay down. Upon letting it breathe for 30+ minutes, not surprisingly opened beautifully and is just a phenomenal wine and raises score up to 92.

Nicely improved over the nearly 2 years since I’ve last had this. Interestingly, this seems even more aged than the 2013 that we had over the last few days. This had more robust fruit, mellow, but with lots of oak, black fruit, cedar and vanilla.

Drinking this in 2021. Would recommend decanting. I tasting notes of black fruit, maybe black currant or blackberry, gooseberry, something a little earthy. It still has high acidity. A little sharp but thinking it's just the wine. Something Could even age a bit more. Liked this but did not love it. Something a little earthy here that I'm not loving but a very good wine.

Decanted for 3 hours. Time in the bottle has done well with this, as it normally does.
No major change in the color or aroma, still clear and dark with a nice rich aroma. Taste is definitely much more balanced, smooth with nice texture and depth. Much nicer. Still has years ahead of it.
A solid 91 Pointer (a point increase) and a Very Good QPR. I honestly believe this Teserve Bench is caught between the standard CS which is 90% of this, but 50% less while their Single Vineyard CS are better then these Bench Reserve, but at 50% more.

Generally liked this wine. It tasted a little sharp. I think it could use a couple more years in the bottle. Going to open another bottle sometime next year and revisit. Didn't have quite the depth of the other Cabs from Sequoia Grove that I've had.

Decanted for 2 hours and drank over the next 3. Color was clear, dark with a magenta rim. Aroma was dark and rich with plum, black fruit, spice and oak. Taste was very similar, but not quite as balanced or smooth as I was expecting. Give this another couple of years.

This is delicious. More open than I remember the 2013 being at a similar point in it's development. Lush and complex, with notes of red and black berries, vanilla, and tobacco. Decanted for about an hour.

PNP Dark berries and tobacco on the nose. Plum and spice on the palate. Finished a bit thin.
