A light gold in appearance, the nose is developed, with an overlay of sweet, spicy notes, with white peach, pear, quince, apple, and hints of white flowers. On the palate, acidity is surprisingly high, almost masking flavours of sour apples. The finish is saline and mineral.. You can't really fault it , and it slips down easily ( almost imperceptibly!). A value entry level Macon, reliable, but lacking a bit of body, and character!

Pleasantly surprised quality has stayed consistent with this bottling. Acid driven chardonnay with lemons, mineral, and firm pear. Open and textured palate. Slightly short finish.

$13 (Costco) Burgundy white 2021 Louis Jadot Mâcon-Villages. Sharp mid-green gold, some viscosity (12.5 alc.); peach, lime, tropical nose; mid acids; mid-body; semi-short green fruit and citrus finish. w/appetizers. 15.5 UC Davis scale, 89 other scales.

Expressive on the nose, lots of flowers, stones, and unripe fruit (lemons, limes, pears) on the nose. The palate lacks character, it’s slightly thin as well. The ‘21 vintage was extreme and lots of fruit was affected by frost or hail. Being this far south in the Macconais I expected slightly more expressive fruit on the palate. However, for the price range this wine is an enjoyable and palatable wine. A good value example of Chardonnay from Burgundy for the price. Overall: 86

Nose is pear and apple, some stones underneath the fruit. Palate is similar to the nose but has some citrus as well, good acidity in the finish. You could argue that it's not incredibly exciting, but it's proper and correct for what it is. Nice on it's own or with food.

Apple, pear, lemon and mineral notes. Medium to long, soft dry finish. Light acidity. Served with grilled chicken breasts and a bourbon, mustard cream sauce.

Standard fare for white Burgundy, nothing special but also absent of deficiencies. Pear on the nose is revealed as green apple on the palate, neither dry or sweet with medium acidity to round it out.

Pear on the nose, a bit of citrus on the palette. Not oaky or buttery. Moderately acidic, which could be a feature, or off-putting, depending on what you’re pairing it with.

Solid, clean and mineral, with nothing to complain about aside from the wine's relative lack of character or flavour. Kind of enjoyable but completely unmemorable.

Loved this wine, perfect balance, lush fruit and acidic foundation... Notably better than the 2022 I think...

crisp and clean, fairly dry. hints of apple, bay leaf, lemon. Pretty straight forward, needs a little acidity.

Melon, nectarine, lemon, flowers over moderate acidity. (Three of us not tasting apple.) Moderate finish. Meh.

Nice crisp apple with a bit of lemon. Smooth, but I wouldn't say buttery. Good value in here.

Bright apple and lemon with very good weight for its level, nicely balanced and fun right now. A great value wine.
