Drinking very well and no longer improving in the bottle. This Pinot is more brown in color and has some really interesting aromas coming out of the glass, including chocolate, spice, and cherry. It took a little time to open up, but when it did, there was a lovely creamy texture and a medium finish that again showed spice and bright red fruits.

2004 Oregon Pinot retrospective (Lou Rad's): The group liked this better than I. Pale, thin, ruby in color, clear and bright. The nose is nice; spry with christmans spice and cherries. Thin on the palate. Dilute. Soft. Cherries with a bitter finish. This seems so weak and simple. I was surprised other liked it more than I.

Nice bright fruit on the nose with a little bit of alchohol heat. Very enjoyable pple notes are noticable both on the nose and when tasting along with a little bit of oak. Tasting great!

Opened up greatly over time. Subtle fruit with great structure and integration of oak. I get that earth and fig that the previous taster described. The color of this wine is beautiful with a pale red hue and copper. I drank it right after opening and was not fond of it but I came back to it after the flight and found it doing much better. Tasty stuff.

Opens up with a tremendously appropriate pale red hue and hints of smoked wood. The flavor of this small vineyard wine is unique to Oregon's Pinot movement yet overly similar to Burgundian pommard clones. The subtle earthy smoky flavors mix beautifully with fresh fig sweetness and dried apple finish. A slight flavor of rosemary comes through nicely throughout tasting. I loved the mid-palate tannins which were exquisitely blended with a pleasant acidity. Great job Berans!

A light burgundian style Pinot that went pretty well with the grilled Steelhead.
