  • Stunningly good, extremely deep and rich perfume of violets, muddled dark cherries, wet Oregon forest,

Very similar funk and beauty to the ‘11 Souris. Slightly sweeter nose than the Souris, same smoked game meat and dark green herb components, grapefruit pith, hoisin, slight fresh cranberry, Chinese five spice. A bit more alcohol on the palate than the Souris, but softens and becomes a nice lift with hours of air.

The watery thing Goodfellow 11’s were experiencing in summer ‘23 is long gone and they are back in action, showing the full exciting character of properly aged, extremely well made, thoughtfully and carefully farmed pinot.

Just fantastic on so many levels. Unmistakably Marcus. Layered and gorgeous.
