This is a consistent performer. As in previous vintages, a mix of savoury bright black fruit, earth, wet leather and olives with a touch of tar, anise and liquorice on a medium+ bodied palate with a hint of quinine plus a slight infusion of resin toward the finish. Good

89.5. in 6 months will be a 90. As always this is a nice aromatic juicy well made chalky flowery, plummy wine with good depth, freshness and length. 13.5%. Needs 90-120 mins aeration. Lay down 2-5 years+.

Juvenile. Has lifted aromas of chalk, violets, mint, earth and plums. This is a bit light and linear compared to the voluptuous and full 2019. Ends mediumish and fresh. Lay down a couple of years and then it will open out. Needs 60-90 mins aeration. As always well priced at under 9 Euros here. Has lovely chalkiness here. Fills out on day two.

In your face fresh Malbec, the tannins are subdued and approachable. A change to more direct clean varietal fresh Juve style. Hope they are successful with it because I like it.

Ruby red. A strong nose heavy on the violets. Aggressive on the palate; the acidity is maybe a touch out of balance. Tannins present and subtle. I could drink this now but better wait a year. Can’t be beaten at this price.

Excellent value. Accompanied housemade Lomo Saltado beautifully.

Crisp, toasted plums, slate, astringent finish. Very nice.

Rounding into form. Straight ahead fruit but with that calcareous streak that still conjures cherry cheesecake to me. No complaints; outsized value.
