Mature strawberry, some dried floral and earth notes. Very well balanced. Moderate weight and length. Very good now. Purchased from Broadley as futures.

2007 Shea Vineyard Tasting (Willamette Wine Storage - Portland, OR): Dark cherry scents show in the glass backed by hibiscus, strawberries, and a hint of minerality. The juice here is really nice, with lovely cherry flavors and balanced, clean acidity. The acid lingers as a faint dusty note sets in later on the mid palate, and some cherry skins show. A hint of red grapefruit and some gentle tannins show themselves on the finish making this a bright, complex, and delicious experience. 91-

2007 Shea vineyard comparative tasting (Willamette Wine Storage - Portland, OR): Showing chalky/mineral and cherries on the nose along with a nice earthy/manure note. Sometimes poopy flavors in the nose can turn me off, this was nice. The fruit is nice and fresh right off the bat. Bright cherry fruit, red tea, light rose/floral notes. The feel on the palate here is nice and balanced, showing a medium intensity throughout. The finish is on the longer side and lingers pleasantly with balanced acidity/tannin/flavor that all decrease at a linear rate through a 15-20 second long finish. Still showing good structure but very balanced. This is good wine with a good future. 90+

Deep smells of roasted meat, toasted cedar, lavender flowers, and rich cherry fruit abound. Bright and almost "shiny" flavors of tart ripe cherries and set on a silky frame with intriguing accents of vanilla, forest floor herbiness and a touch of spice.
