I thought this was terrific. Fully evolved, with lots of merlot character--ripe cherry, raspberry and tobacco on a soft framework of oak. I would buy it again.

Overall, about the same as two years ago. The wine clearly tasted better after an hour of decanting. Elements of subtle acetone and some syrupy dark cherry notes. Medium weight in the mouth, with a tannic and slightly hard, short finish. The nose is light but still retains some fruit, but the finish pretty well kills it.

Tasting note from memory: Pretty uninspiring. This wine is done, fruit has receded leaving not too many favorable elements.
