Generously brought over by Z. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of red licorice, perfumey red flowers, deep red cherries, darker red cherries, light charred oak, brown stems. Youthful. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.3%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensirty, with flavours of sweet red licorice, hint of cola, deep red cherries, nicely integrated lightly charred oak. Long finish with stemmy spices. Very good quality. Such an enjoyable drink. Wow nose. Still young and will last a few years well, but why wait.

Pnp over 2 hours. Wish I took more notes. Another top notch CA Pinot Noir from Occidental. Last sip was the best. Will try to give it more time to breathe with the next bottle. Ready now, but also good for cellaring for 5-20 years. 94

For my palate, very close to perfection. Reserving a few points for bottle aging. Heady aromatics. Dense and concentrated but perfectly in balance. Lively, lip smacking acidity. Delicious saline and mineral nuances from the Sonoma Coast terroir. Very plush and hedonistic Pinot noir. Another Kistler home run. Gorgeous wine.

Just a beautiful wine. Deep purple. Wonderful, light, almost wispy aromatics, carrying through to a very light-on-its feet body combined with quite wonderfully concentrated flavor. Layered - there's a hint of spice underneath the medium-bright fruit. Still quite young. My sense is that the 2020s from Occidental are a half-notch below in quality relative to earlier years - tough vintage? - but on its own this wine is magnificent and will almost certainly get more so.

Incredible aroma at the moment the cork was pulled.
Assertive tobacco, cherry, raspberry aromas
Deep purple red with a tinge of haziness.
Tasted 1 hour after the wine was opened.
Cherry and plum flavors up front giving way to balsa, earth and a pleasing cranberry acidity. Complex. Interesting. Layered.
Superior Pinot Noir with enough acidity and backbone to age at this level and beyond.

Beautiful wine. Red fruit atop this slightly salty ocean breeze. A lot of acidity but still so well balanced. Love it.
