beautiful floral nose. good transition to a long finish. on the light side. but as others noted this is the producer style. love to see this in a decade.

Palate: ripe peach, faint dried ginger; medium+ finish tangerine, ginger, minerality, maybe just a faint hint of parsley; finishes a bit sweet; medium sweetness; medium- body; high acidity that leave a bit of tingle on the tongue
Overall thoughts: So crystalline and finessed. On the lighter side for a Spatlese, but that's consistent with the vintage and cuvee. Great balance with great, integrated acidity to balance out the sugar (though there is just a touch of baby fat). Also, it's just delicious. Good upside but showing great now. Great wine

This is extremely lively and extremely expressive as the tones of white peaches, saline, green apples, nectarines, pears, mineral notes, white flowers, kaffir lime, crushed rocks, and saline notes all work together extremely well already. The Light bodied feel is well balanced and deep with crisp, high acidity. This is a really really good, young NH Spat from Donnhoff. There is all that bit of extra going on but it does need a few years to really come into its zone.

Spectacular. Lemons and stones and honey and perfume on the restrained nose. On the palate an explosion of all the fruits — raspberries and peaches and blueberries and lime and green apple and everything else (though no tropical, interestingly) with a stunning electric (almost prickly) acidity that’s perfectly balanced with the sweetness. Finish carries on the palate for days, with a wide line of acidity down the tongue and sweet honey on the cheeks.

Donnhoff Tasting (St. Paul): My favorite of the Donnhoff Rieslings today. Honey, orange marmalade, slate, floral notes and ripe peaches. Medium plus finish and vibrant acidity. This will age for 20 plus years.

Delicious mouthwatering acidity with a light sweetness. Barely a trace of the plastic/petrol. Very nice.
