Similar note as last bottle drank a few months ago. I really enjoy the play between the fruit and slight bitterness. This should improve with a bit more time in bottle.

Dalla Terra Portfolio tasting (Nostrana, Portland OR): The nose is classic and balanced with tones of blueberries, red cherries, sweet tobacco, spice notes, and some roses. This is straightforward and with decent depth, but also with a relative simplicity too. The Medium bodied feel shows off the balance of the nose with tart, medium+ acidity and chalky, medium tannins. This is a fun and balanced Dolcetto. It doesn't necessarily do anything amazing or great, but it does what it does well and delivers for the expectations.

The Monte Aribaldo vineyard surrounds Villa Giulia Grésy and the hotel Dai Gresy, and is planted to Dolcetto (4.7 ha), Chardonnay (1.9 ha) and Sauvignon Blanc (1 ha). So nice to drink it “in situ”. The first nose is quite fascinating - it smells of a winery at harvest time, when the new wine is fermenting in the vats. With some oxygen it comes together to display black cherries and roses and a stemmy freshness. The palate is bright and fresh, medium bodied, firm but pleasantly grippy, with flavours of cherries, roses and almonds; the finish is dry and appetising, with a lovely bitter note and good resonance and length. It holds up well over two days in the open bottle and develops a lovely creamy texture, so it should probably be able to age for quite a while.

Decanted two hours before tasting. The color of this wine is medium garnet. The nose has cherries, red currant, a hint of mint, and a bit of forest floor. The palate has black cherry, black currant, camphor, hints of white pepper and nutmeg. ABV 13%.
This wine is very young yet. It's drinking fine now, with a nice balance, medium body, decent acid, and integrated tannins. It has a nice long finish dominated by its fruit.

A brilliant ruby red in the glass, with a nose of cherries and blueberries. Mouth shows off a really nice structure and medium tannins, with characteristic bitter almond notes on the finish. I think another year or so in the bottle will lead to some improvement.

Wonderful dolcetto with well defined fruit notes and a bit of bitterness on the finish. Lovely wine and best with food.
