Pale salmon colour. Small and lazy bubbles. Medium (-) and developing nose with strawberry, white flowers, raspberry, toast, rubber and bread dough. Medium taste of strawberry, lemon, toast, rubber, wet stone, earth and bread dough. Medium (-) long and off-dry. High acidity. Medium body. a good Californian Sparkling Rosé. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well as an aperitif.

A multitude of hostage bubbles freed from captivity persistently seeking air like rising pods of free divers. Color is naturally sensuous. Study or sip? If I must, to complete my note, vibrant, French kisses the tongue, the palate with teenage exuberance. Whispers "Wait til I mature. It's only puppy love." Youth seeking to tutor old men incapable of waiting; drink while you can open your lips to such kisses.

Beautiful sparkling wine. Clear salmon color; notes of kiwi-strawberry, with minerals interwoven throughout. Such an inviting mousse. Eminently enjoyable.

Medium salmon pink, fine bubbles fwtw. Smells like cherry, strawberries and cream, orange, bit of floral. Nice acidity and mouth feel, with flavors following suit; definitely red fruits and lemon leading the charge, bit of minerality. Nice sipper that was supposed to be on a sailboat for us today, but ended up stormy staying in, and enjoyed it all the same.

Much more complex and interesting than the 2019 Blanc de Noir, says I. Brighter, riper fruit and acid notes, select your fruit from the previous tasters' notes, more dimension and contrast with a nutty concentrated base layer. A crowd pleaser, alternatively, not the searing "Brut" expected by some Champagne lovers. Tasting my way through Champagne and new world sparkling, one a week goal, surprising number of Champagnes lacking identifiable character, NZ worth exploring and priced for tasting. USA, try the Roederer, Taittinger, Ferrer. Chandon, Mumm neutral although may be preferred to some Champagnes. Gruet, once a prize, now commercial.

Very funky on nose, palate of red fruits, unripe strawberries, white cherry followed with a champagne like yeast and bread dough finish. Very useful Rose sparkler to have on hand. Seemed to get better as it opened up with some time in the glass.

Soft strawberry, raspberry, and ripe peach and watermelon. Tingly effervescence, with tangy acidity to finish. Its lack of complexity is made up by its ability to remain consistent when paired with a variety of salty and spicy appetizers.

Don't want to rate this because while it tasted fine, it wasn't particularly complex and had virtually no nose. I woke up the next day feeling horrible and tested positive for COVID, and my sense of taste was diminished and smell was gone for a few days and slowly got better.
Hence, no rating, I think COVID disqualified that here.

Guests brought to Dinner for an aperitif 13.0% abv 66% - Pinot Noir; 34% - Chardonnay.
Served well-chilled (6c/43f) in Trumpets (Tall flutes).
Lovely, light pale pink in the glass, small, fine bubbles. Nose of Strawberries and Strawberry along with sour Cherry on the palate. Dry with no hint of sweetness. I typically prefer some hint of sweetness, but this Brut was just delightful. Crisp and Refreshing with a pleasant, lingering finish.
(just as an aside, Schramsberg is a winery I toured many, many, many years ago on a lark when it was just a fledgling, family-owned, operation located about a mile off of Highway 128 in Napa Valley. Looking at a map it looks like the same location.)

Pleasant aperitif style sparkling rose with light, bright red fruit. However, the mousse dissipates rather quickly and loses energy with air.

Eye: Pale salmon center to an orange-salmon rim. Very fine bubbles.
Nose: Warm bread, toast, nuts, a little touch of green apple and lemon. Strawberries and fresh cream.
Palate: Peaches and cream. Green apple and faint raisin. Pastry and nuts. Gentle tickling bubbles. Pleasant acidity. Light bodied.
Finish: Medium. Green grapes. Green apple, lemon. A touch of stone fruit.
Overall: As always, Schramsberg proves itself to be one of, if not the, top producer of sparkling wine in all of California.
