  • So much charcoal, so much fruit; an 1890s coal miner breakdancing after work.

  • Delightful, almost bewitching in how satisfying and pleasing to the palate it is. Definitely needs to be decanted for at least an hour, or the fruit flavors will be muted and overshadowed by a yeasty fermented taste. After decanting nose mellows out to ripe cherry and rubbing alcohol. Initial palate shows this wine's unapologetically fruity nature, full of ripe dark berries with a light hint of strawberry, and despite it having a really firm, solid tannic structure, notes of cherries and raspberries take center stage as it sits in the mouth and as it aerates in the glass. Not a lot of woodiness or smokiness at the finish, which serves this one well, as it maintains it's fruit forward, full nature through the end. Get a really nice quality ground beef, make some juicy burgers and enjoy alongside this brilliant wine!
