Never ceases to amaze me how a Champagne of this age can have this much freshness. I guess coming out of magnum helps. The first thing you notice is the piercing sensation and the drive, just a heat-seeking missile of a wine that leaves plenty of layers of glittery yellow fruit in its wake.

From magnum. My first experience with a really aged Champagne. Quite enjoyable though not compelling, showing mature white fruited, earthy and toasty flavours merging together seamlessly; a little soft in the mouth with gentle effervesence and not as much acidity as I'd like.
