92-93 Need to decant 2+hrs. Dry palate, red fruit, raspberry, strawberry, red plums, floral, roses, hints of cedar. Quite tannic but not rough. Finish is short. not very complex but good concentration, taste good.

Aerated 2hrs. Translucent purple color. Juicy, fresh berry aroma with leather and mineraly, raw meat and redcurrant notes. Medium bodied palate, decent balance and finish. Nice wine, but not great QPR for a nebbiolo.

Really enjoyed this Barolo with it’s medium body, red cherries, rose, nut and berries. Soft mouth feel makes this a lovely wine to enjoy with friends….which we did!

Purchased to try it - I’d purchased the Langhe Nebbiolo and found something i really liked so tried the Barolo. I really like this - roses, cherries, mint and menthol on the nose. On the tongue, fine tannins, beautiful mouth feel - thick, almost syrupy. Roses, cherries, mint and menthol; all of it a bit restrained. I really like this.

Pale ruby/garnet colour. Medium intensity, dried berry, clay, floral, nut, and mineral nose. Palate is medium-full bodied with firm tannins, trekking up the middle ground in flavour intensity and length. 3.5/5

2019 Barolo Tasting (K&L): Defined by a wall of impenetrably firm tannins and almost harsh acidity. Impressively structured and austere, but no where near ready or approachable.

Medium(-) body, medium fine-grained tannins, medium alcohol. Aromas/flavours of rose, liquorice, tar, red cherry., red plum Medium fruit concentration, medium finish. A bit disappointing. Expected much more from this 2019 vintage from Ratti, which is one of my favourites from La Morra.

At our cabin in Finland. Decanted for two hours, but an hour would do. Medium garnet colour. Mixed berries, ripe and lightly raisiny, roses and spice notes, with good acidity, fine, dry tannin, and very good length. Medium-bodied and lightly drying, with average concentration and complexity. A feminine expression of Barolo. A little angular, but overall pleasant to drink. For early and mid-term drinking.

Nice, dark cherry notes. Needs more time, but good already.

Masterclass Nebbiolo med Alf Tumble (Vinkällan, Göteborg): Lätt doft, frukt och bär.
Rätt snälla, om än många, tanniner.
Sitter kvar länge i munnen.
Lite bäska, kryddar.

Good but not great. Pine. Tart, sour cherry. A little raisiny.

Må luftes godt. Veldig spiss før lufting. Kompleks smak.
