  • Rioja young wines: medium-dark ruby in the glass, the nose has lovely aromas of red fruits (raspberry, strawberries) laced with herbs (thyme, tarragon) and whiffs of lavender and leather. full-feeling but very fresh in the mouth, the fruit uncoils slowly in the mid-palate. brambly and spicy notes add lovely depth carried on by dusty tannins that still need a bit of integration. fairly long finish with herbal notes.

a lovely Garnacha that should deliver nicely for another handful of years.

14.5% AbV carried very well; 100% old-vines Garnacha from some sixty different high-altitude plots; 30% whole cluster.
