I drank this wine at different times, from the refrigerator (7 degrees Celsius), from the cellar (15 degrees Celsius) and at room temperature (19 degrees Celsius). The seductive Viognier (60%!), comes out best in both smell and taste at room temperature.

Nose: Peach, lychee, flowers, some alcohol. Palate: Mirrors the nose, but with the addition of pineapple and almond. Fairly full bodied, medium acidity, but never feels flabby.

This bottle is even better than the previous one. At first the Viognier component didn't show much but gradually it shows itself and finishes the wine with elegance. Also this is the first bottle that lasts till day 3 and still delicious, which means the intensity is greater than previous vintages. Apple, lemon, apricot, peach, flower. Very pleasant yellow color. Again the best QPR of Rhone blancs.

Most fresh vintage that I have ever tasted. Fresh plum and ripe apple on the nose, which I have never felt before. Somewhat artificial flavor going on, like Torrontes. Then peach and apricot as usual due to Viognier. Next day it's like as usual. Still best QPR blanc for me.

An almost unbelievably large number of bottles of this wine (several hundred thousand?) is annually bottled. The price is always modest (around 10€), and the quality always at least reasonably good. A mix of 60% Viognier, 15% Roussanne, 10% Marsanne, 8% Clairette, 5% Bourboulenc and 2% Grenache blanc. Rather modest nose, probably partly due to the inadequately small supermarket glasses. Southern juiciness on the palate with peaches, melons and figgs, mineral notes and a modest acidity. Not sensational, but anyway real QPR.

Tasted like it might not have been stored properly. Little bit of effervescence indicating unwanted secondary fermentation in the bottle, as well as quite a hit of VA (nailpolish; ethyl acetate). Nonetheless, floral and lightly fruity nose, with mainly peach and some flowery notes on the palate and finish. Quite muted, though I suspect that's not the wine's fault. Have had other white CdR's from other years by Guigal that were way more vivid.

Vintus Trip preceeded by 2 days in Paris; 4/14/2023-4/20/2023: This was released one month ago. 60% Viognier w/ Roussanne, Bourboulenc, Marsanne and a little Grenache Blanc. Very ripe pear, creamy pear aromas. Palate is less ripe, but still lots of pear. As consumers leave White Burg due to price, they expect an increase @ Guigal.

No one has said it but to me this had a nose of roses.
Peachy palate with slight pithiness.
Good for its price.
From TWS £11.50.

There are exotic notes of mango, paw paw and guava. It is full and unctuous, with plenty of flavour. Acidity is moderate but the wine is fresh.
