Cookie Decorating and wine (My house): nose: brambly with a bit of sour mustiness. But bright and candied raspberries are nice. palate: simple and light. FInish is a maximum of 5 seconds. But it's a nice quaffer. I'd call it "Disappearing Raspberry Wine," smack it on a banner, and ask folks to pay $10 for it at the carnival. I don't think anyone would complain.

Another fine, basic zin...what zin should be and was until zin fanatics tried turning it into something it shouldn't have been turned into. Basic, unpretentious thoroughly satisfying expression of the grape...with an alcohol level that won't have you reaching for the hangover cures.

Nice wine. Popped and poured with some friends over grilled Sicilian tuna steaks...just the ticket. NOT as good as the STG zin I loved so much (before getting multiple flawed bottles), but a nice understated well-balanced lower alcohol food friendly zin. Blackberry and spice on the nose, and just an all-around pleasant quaffer. Great qpr. New York Times endorsement was perhaps a bit too positive, but I would not hesitate to buy this wine again and keep a stock of it on hand for dinners just like this.

An average wine with little distinction except that it is a soundly made. In essence, a straightforward, innocuous wine. Fruity nose. Metallic on the palate. Wouldn't buy again.

I would have guessed under $10 for this bottle. Not bad - but you can get more depth for this price.

Pretty good wine for $11. Lots of fruit with the alcohol well hidden. Probably one of the better zins I've had at this price in a while.
