  • At first pour, the nose was fairly muted with just a hint of zin teasing the nose. although past its prime, it still presented the Zinfandel grape to the status that this noble grape deserves. Within 120 minutes, The flavor of the Zinfandel grape just projected forth, it flirted with nuances that although escapes me now, but never lost focus on elevating the taste of Zinfandel. This Winemaker is notorious at this skill nay art. Only regret is not opening it sooner, for it probably delivered a more powerful punch without sacrificing the grace it had achieved.

  • Paired beautifully with a potato-based casserole that featured crispy onions on top. The wine has a perfectly workable balance of red fruit, oak and acidity. All flavors are well-integrated; oak is dominant but not overwhelming. The mouthfeel is light, and the wine has a short clean finish. This is a fine everyday drinker. I wish we had a few more bottles.
