Needs a bit of air to open up but when it does, it is stunning. Hugely intense dark cherry fruit and some crunchy tannins. It is still very young and the tannins require a bit more attention. Will most likely require a few more years for the tannins to settle down. Great wine!

Pretty simple stuff. Very disappointing for such a good producer. For $170 AUD on release this was equivalent to a decent $30 Australian bottle. Just nothing special or good about it. A very muted nose, almost non existent. Strawberry and raspberry fruit dominant with a hint of whole bunch fruit but no complexity. Decanted for 3 hours but nothing else emerged. I think I'm done with young burgundies. I have several LP Beaune 1er Cru and Vosne Romanee which I won't touch for at least 10 years now. Cellar or bust.
